All set for Frasco Cup-Christmas Open | The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — It’s all systems go for the Cong. Duke Frasco Cup-Christmas Open Tournament slated on December 7-11 at the Compostela Sports Complex in Compostela, Cebu.

Tournament organizer Ian Callet of CSAS said 16 teams across the province of Cebu will be seeing action in the five-day cage wars that offers a total of P375,000 in cash prize to the winners.

Aside from host Compostela, the other contenders are Liloan, Danao, Carmen, Catmon, Sogod, Borbon, San Francisco, Poro, Tudela, Pilar, Consolacion, and the cities of Mandaue, Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Talisay.

All players must be a registered voter of the municipality or city they represent.

They will compete in a knockout format until the finals.

The champion will take home P200,000 while the second to fourth placers will pocket P100,000, P50,000 and P25,000, respectively. — (FREEMAN)
