Another OVP staff rushed to hospital

MANILA, Philippines — Another personnel of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) was taken to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center from the House of Representatives on Monday.

Special Disbursing Officer Gina Acosta was among the resource persons invited by the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability. She was questioned on the disbursement of the confidential funds of the OVP from 2022 to 2023.

During the hearing, Acosta's blood pressure shot up, prompting the House's Medical Director Luis Bautista to declare an emergency.

Vice President Sara Duterte, who attended the hearing, was seen accompanying Acosta until she was loaded on an ambulance.

Last week, Duterte's chief of staff, Zuleika Lopez, was taken to the VMMC also due to a medical emergency.
