Baguio temperature starts dipping
BAGUIO CITY, Philippines —Residents of Baguio City woke up to a colder morning yesterday after the temperature dropped to 15.6 degrees Celsius, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA said the low temperature was recorded at 4 a.m. It climbed to 25 degrees Celsius as the day progressed.
Meanwhile, in Benguet, the PAGASA BSU Agromet Station in La Trinidad recorded a low of 14.7 degrees Celsius at 5 a.m.
On Friday, La Trinidad’s temperature was 13 degrees Celsius.
The highland chill is expected to last until February and may extend up to March.
Last week, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon, or amihan, has started and would bring strong northeasterly winds, cooler temperatures and dry air across the country.
