Ex-Mexico, Pampanga mayor cited in contempt during House panel probe on illegal drugs
MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives' quad committee cited former Mexico, Pampanga mayor Teddy Tumang in contempt on Wednesday.
Abang Lingkod Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano, a chairman of the committee, made the motion for «evading» the committee's queries.
The motion was seconded and, without objections, approved.
The committee ruled to detain Tumang in the House until the end of the committee's investigation into illegal drugs and Philippine offshore gaming operators.
