Go turns over Super Health Center in Midsayap

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go led the turnover of a Super Health Center to the local government of Midsayap in North Cotabato on Thursday.

In a speech during a ceremony in Barangay Poblacion 3, Go stressed the importance of the Super Health Center in providing people, especially the poor access to quality health care.

He thanked the residents for giving him an opportunity to serve.

Go, chair of the Senate committee on health, said access to quality health services is a challenge to residents who need to travel to distant places to see a doctor or avail themselves of medical services.

He said this is the reason why he is pushing for the establishment of more Super Health Centers nationwide.

Go thanked Midsayap Mayor Rolando Sacdalan and Vice Mayor Vivencio Deomampo Jr. and other local officials for helping bring government services closer to the people.

Aside from Super Health Centers, Go highlighted one of his flagship programs, the Malasakit Center, a one-stop shop that helps reduce the hospital bills of indigent patients.
