The “KADIWA ng Pangulo: Usapang Agribiz,” held last week as part of the Marcos administration’s jobs fair, successfully showcased high-quality, locally sourced agricultural products and offered valuable business opportunities in the farm sector. The event aligns with the Department of Agriculture’s goal to empower Filipino farmers and stimulate agribusiness growth.

The event demonstrated the government’s commitment to supporting local farmers and fostering the growth of agribusinesses across the country.

Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. graced the occasion, accompanied by Assistant Secretary for Agribusiness, Marketing, and Consumer Affairs Atty. Genevieve E. A key highlight of the event was the “Usapang Agribiz Forum,” where participants learned about various agricultural programs aimed at boosting investments in the sector. Discussions included urban gardening, training initiatives, and insurance programs for farmers and fisherfolk, providing insights to those interested in venturing into agribusiness.

In addition, the DA distributed free Information, Education, and Communication materials, alongside seeds and seedlings from the DA-Bureau of Plant Industry, supporting attendees in their agricultural endeavors.

“KADIWA ng Pangulo: Usapang Agribiz” was also part of the “Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas Job Fair,” a job expo targeting 12,000 graduating beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
