Veloso’s sister home this week – DMW

MANILA, Philippines — The sister of Mary Jane Veloso is set to return home from Saudi Arabia possibly within the week, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said yesterday.

“Originally, it was promised to the family that she would be brought home before Christmas,” the DMW said in a statement.

The agency is working to facilitate her return to the country “as soon as possible.”

Veloso’s sister has been working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
She requested the DMW for her repatriation.

DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac promised Veloso’s family that the government would bring her home before Christmas.
