Farmers from the Cagayan Valley region received land titles and various support services with Vice President Sara Duterte leading the distribution and turnover of infrastructure facilities and farm machineries and equipment on Wednesday, April 17, at F.L. Dy Coliseum, San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is set to distribute a total of 1,416.35 hectares of agricultural lands to 901 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from the Cagayan Valley Region, turnover infrastructure facilities worth P263,800,000, and a total of P23,639,500 farm machineries and equipment on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at F.L. Dy Coliseum, San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela.Vice President Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio, Senator Imee R. Marcos, DAR Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III with the key officials from the DAR central and Cagayan Valley regional offices will lead the distribution of land titles and various support services to the ARBs.
A total of 2,047 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) received 2,076 land titles covering a total area of 3,957 hectares during the distribution ceremony held at the Capitol Convention Center in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Estrella also said that during the PRRD administration, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) implemented the Support for Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (Project SPLIT) funded by the World Bank. Project SPLIT involves the subdivision of collective certificates of land ownership award (CCLOAs) into individual land titles.

Enciso, DAR Western Visayas Regional Director said a total of 750 farmers in Negros Occidental would benefit from the farm-to-market roads (FMRs), Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo (TPKP project), organic fertilizer, and farm machineries and equipment (FMEs) distributed by the President.
“We must uphold the law relative to the issue of Ati in Boracay,” Agrarian Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III said during a press conference held after the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) in Negros Occidental.He emphasized that there is no basis for awarding the CLOAs to the members of the Boracay Ati Tribal Association.“First, the Bureau of Soils and Water Management under the Department of Agriculture declared the landholding not suitable for agriculture which should be exempted from DAR coverage under Republic Act 6657, or the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program,” Estrella said.The second reason, Estrella said, is that the period of issuing the notice of coverage of private lands had already expired last June 30, 2014, when the DAR issued the CLOAs to the ATI in 2018.“Third, they cannot invoke Executive Order 75 here because it is not even a government-owned land since there is a legitimate claimant.
