The Second Congressional Committee on Education (EDCOM 2) today met with Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian to discuss government efforts aimed at combating malnutrition and stunting among children.
We were monitoring the Committee hearings being conducted by the Committee on Public Order, and very serious accusations have been made. Whether they have merit or not, is a whole other matter.

Senator Win Gatchalian deplored the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) for issuing provisional licenses to "high-risk" Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs), saying such classification should be enough basis for the regulator to reject their license application.
