Silver lining in lightheavy debut
MANILA, Philippines — It’s a strange name for a Chinese as Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan, also known as Erbieke Tuoheta, traces his roots to Kazakhstan although he was born in Urumqi, China. His parents are Kazakhs and he proudly represents China. The other night, Tanglatihan struck gold in the lightheavyweight final of men’s boxing before a cheering homecrowd at the Hangzhou Asian Games against a Filipino who probably should’ve won.
