Officials believed the man and woman had witnessed him molesting boys when they worked at the ranch from 1988 to 1990.The file states that a legal attache for the US embassy in London was sending back information regarding alleged sexual misconduct by Jackson in England — specifically a phone call to a teenage boy.
Philippines blaze leaves 1,500 families homeless
AFilipino man and his pig swim to safety after a fire which left 1,500 families homeless.The six-hour blaze in the coastal city of Navotas, near Manila, killed a woman and her two children. Another woman drowned after jumping into the sea to escape.Firemen said the blaze quickly spread to a plastic factory in the shanty town after a petrol container next to a stove ignited.Most people store petrol in their homes to use in their fishing boats.

Thousands took shelter in school buildings today as the Philippines was hit by a «super typhoon».At least three people died, with one man being killed while trying to rescue his water buffalo from a swollen river and electricity was cut off across Isabela province, 200 miles north-east of Manila.Thousands of army reserves were on standby, said Benito Ramos, a disaster response official. «This is like preparing for war,» he said.
