Terrorists shoot at off-duty cop in Srinagar, 3rd attack since October
SRINAGAR: Terrorists shot and wounded J&K police constable Hafiz Ahmad in the Hamdania locality of Srinagar’s Bemina on Saturday evening in the latest wave of targeted attacks on off-duty policemen. This marked the third such attack since October 29, raising concerns about the safety of law enforcement personnel and security situation in the region.Sources said 42-year-old Ahmad suffered gunshot wounds in his abdomen and right arm from close range during the attack while walking home after duty at Fateh Kadal police station, where he’s posted.
