1 to 2 storms likely to enter PH in December

Manila, Philippines: The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday, December 1, 2023, that one to two tropical cyclones will likely enter the country this month.

However, Pagasa has not monitored a low pressure area inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), weather specialist Robert «Obet» Badrina said.

Citing data and analysis, he said one to two storms will probably enter PAR within the month.

The northeast monsoon — cold winds from the northeast that carry rains especially over the eastern side of the country – is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Also, the easterlies, along with the localized thunderstorms, continue to bring partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, especially in the afternoon or at night.
