3 Makati barangays get cash reward for drug war
MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Makati gave a cash reward of P500,000 to Barangay Poblacion for having this year’s best-performing Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
In giving the award, the local government highlighted the dedication of Barangay Poblacion to creating impactful drug initiatives in the community.
These programs paved the way for promoting best practices in combating drug abuse, city hall said.
Barangays San Isidro and Urdaneta received P300,000 and P200,000 for placing second and third, respectively.
Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo handed the award and cash to officials of the barangays. She was accompanied by officials of the city’s Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
