32 more Israel OFWs arriving Friday

THIRTY-TWO more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are set to return home today from Israel as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) continue its repatriation efforts from the war-torn state.

In an advisory, the DMW said the eighth batch of OFWs returning from Israel will arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 via Etihad Airways EY424 at 3:15 p.m.

“There will be 32 OFWs, including eight hotel workers and 24 caregivers, and one infant in this group of returnees,” said the DMW.

The first seven batches were composed of 224 OFWs and eight children.

“Including this latest group, 256 OFWs and nine children have returned to the country since the Israel-Hamas conflict erupted in early October,” the DMW said.

In a previous interview, DMW officer-in-charge Undersecretary Hans Leo Cacdac said repatriation efforts for Filipinos in Israel will continue as the Israel-Hamas war has shown no signs of easing. – Gerard Naval
