Blackpink surprises fans with live video celebrating 8th anniversary

MANILA, Philippines — K-pop girl group Blackpink surprised their fans by going live to celebrate their 8th anniversary as a group. 

Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose went live on WeVerse yesterday, wearing party hats as they sang "Happy Birthday" in Korean. 

Blackpink made their debut in 2016 as YG Entertainment's first girl group in seven years since 2NE1.

The group released the concert film "Blackpink World Tour Born Pink in Cinemas" last July 31.

Last December, all Blackpink members renewed their contract with YG Entertainment for group activities. 

Their solo activities, however, will be manage by their own labels. 

Blackpink had a two-night sold out concerts in Philippine Arena last year. They are known for their hit songs such as "How You Like That," "Boombayah," and "Kill This Love," to name a few.
