BoC warns vs fraudulent Customs online account
THE Bureau of Customs (BoC) warned the public against fraudulent social media accounts using illegally obtained photos of Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio and making false pretenses and representations.
These unauthorized accounts are misleading individuals by requesting money for customs-related activities, deceiving possible victims into believing that such transactions are legitimate.
The BoC, in a statement, alerted the public that it does not conduct any transactions through social media or other online platforms.

Instead, immediately report these fake accounts to the BOC through its verified social media channels, official email, or hotline for further investigation,» it said.
The BoC vowed to take swift legal action against individuals misusing the commissioner's name to exploit others.
It also urged the public to report suspicious accounts to hotline number (02) 87056000.
