Chery launches new energy vehicles at ride and drive event

CHERY Auto Philippines (CAP) recently showcased its new energy vehicle (NEVs) lineup at the inaugural media ride and drive event by United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (Uaagi) held at the ACEA Subic Beach Resort.

The exclusive event invited media representatives from the motoring, technology and lifestyle groups, offering them a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the advanced features, driving capabilities and performance of Chery's latest NEVs. The event highlighted three flagship models: the soon-to-be-launched Tiggo 7 Pro plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the spacious seven-seater Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV, and the fully electric eQ7.

Chery's presentation was focused on the QPower architecture, which exemplifies the brand's dedication to merging cutting-edge technology with environmental sustainability. The showcased NEVs underscore Chery's vision of leading the charge in the new era of green mobility.

CAP took the opportunity to emphasize the advantages of its PHEV technology, addressing widespread concerns about electrification, particularly range anxiety. The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV and Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV models are powered by an internal combustion engine coupled with two electric motors and a robust 19.27-kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery. This setup provides a versatile driving experience, balancing electric vehicle (EV) mode for short urban commutes and hybrid or gasoline modes for longer journeys.
