DAR Conducts Post Assessment on DAR Scholarship Program for ARB Dependents

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) through the Agrarian Reform Capacity Development Service (ARCDS) is conducting a Post Assessment on the DAR Scholarship Program for the dependents of agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs). The nationwide assessment takes place from August 6-9 in Dapitan City, bringing together regional and provincial scholarship coordinators.

The activity aims to evaluate the progress and development of the scholarship program and gather feedback on the program’s impact.

PARPO Rizzel Villanueva of DAR Provincial Office in Zamboanga del Norte warmly welcomed all the participants. He said, “We are making an effort to maintain a level of hospitality in our place so that everyone will have a lasting memory, going home feeling nice and warm.”

During the assessment, the coordinators are engaged in discussions, workshops and presentations to highlight their accomplishments and challenges.

“We are pleased with the outcomes of the post-assessment and the opportunity it provided for the coordinators to reflect on the challenges and experiences they encountered during the program implementation. The feedback gathered will be crucial in improving the program and ensuring its continued success in supporting the education of the dependents of ARBs,” Ms. Angelita Tonogbanua, Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) of ARCDS said.

The DAR Scholarship Program for the dependents of ARBs aims to provide educational opportunities to deserving students. The program covers tuition fees, allowances, and other educational expenses to empower scholars to pursue their academic goals.
