DAR distributes 165 individual e-titles during Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair launching in Ilocos Norte

Laoag, Ilocos Norte - On September 23, 2023, the Department of Agrarian Reform distributed a total of 165 individual electronic land titles (e-titles) to 101 agrarian reform beneficiaries during the launching of Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Ilocos Norte.

The distributed e-titles, which cover a total area of 80.254 hectares, are a product of World Bank-funded Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) project that aimed to improve land tenure security and stabilize the property rights of the ARBs. The distribution ceremony was led by Hon. Ferdinand Alexander Araneta Marcos, Member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, and Hon. Matthew Manotoc, Governor of the province of Ilocos Norte.

On behalf of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, Regional Director Maria Ana Franciso attended and supported the activity along with PARPO II for DARPO Ilocos Norte, Engr. Vic Ines.

BPSF brings agrarian legal services closer to Ilocano ARBs, clients

Simultaneous with the distribution of e-titles, DAR also converged with various government agencies to provide government programs and services at the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

As part of the DAR’s effort to bring government services closer to the people, the Department is providing free legal advice on agrarian legal matters and other related agrarian laws to both ARBs and walk-in clients.

In addition to this, the Department is also offering the following agrarian services: Provide legal requirements on DAR Clearance and Transfer Action (DAR titles); Free legal assistance for DAR Certifications, Deed of Conveyance, Affidavits, and others; and free consultation for the Execution of Leasehold Contracts.

BPSF is a program by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that aims to deliver various government services to every Filipino. It provides easier access to social services, livelihood and educational services, regulatory functions, and other government programs. (Miranda Dexter) ###
