DAR provides wider market opportunities for MIMAROPA ARBOs

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in the Mimaropa region conducted an Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Organizations (ARBOs) Summit which opened doors of opportunities to ARBOs in the area to market their agricultural products.

With the theme "Charting New Horizons: Exploring Market Opportunities," the summit helped the ARBOs expand their market through exposure with the use of online platforms, and orientations on the importance of product design, the requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the potential of international trading.

The Mimaropa ARBOs which attended the summit include the Bahi Agricultural and Fisheries Association, Tanikala ng Pagkakaisa Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC), Tarug ARBs and Farmers Association from Marinduque; Tuban Blessed Farmers MPC, San Carlos MPC, from Occidental Mindoro; Matulatula ARC Cooperative, Sabang ARBs Association from Oriental Mindoro; Agra Progreso MPC, Magdiwang Agrarian Reform Cooperative from Romblon; and CK Plus MPC, Malalong MPC from Palawan.

DAR Support Services Office Undersecretary Rowena Niña Taduran encouraged the ARBs to continue enriching their agricultural lands.

“This is for the food future of our family, especially our children,” she said.

The DAR-Mimaropa also recognized the outstanding contributions of ARBOs in promoting and implementing sustainable agricultural practice, and the top-performing staff from the different provinces of the region.

This event is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., through the leadership of Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III, to uplift the economic lives of the farmers in the countryside.
