DFA confirms 3rd Filipino fatality in Israel-Hamas war

THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday confirmed the death of another Filipino in the ongoing war between Israel and the militant group Hamas.

At a Palace press briefing, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega said the third Filipino casualty was a 49-year-old caregiver from Negros Occidental.

«I regret to inform you that yes, it is confirmed there is a third Filipino casualty, a 49-year-old from Negros Occidental,» De Vega told reporters.

De Vega said the third Filipino fatality was among the hundreds of people killed during the Hamas attack at a music festival in southern Israel.

Her family and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. were informed about it, he added.
