Elevate caps off golden year with Call of Duty Mobile World Championship conquest

MANILA, Philippines – All-Filipino squad Elevate has completed its golden year with a 4-0 sweep of China's Qing Jiu Club to rule the 2024 Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) World Championship at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, the United States.

Having failed to reach the world championship last year, Elevate took the 2024 season by storm, winning both 2024 Garena Masters seasons. The team topped the regional Garenas Finals and defeated premier Asian teams in the Summer Invitational. It needed just one more win to complete the winning season, defeating every top CODM team in the World Championship.

The Kings of the East ran a perfect tournament, being one of two teams to see a 3-0 start in the Swiss Stage to secure a playoff spot. But a test was waiting for them in the quarterfinals, as they were up against last year's champions China's Wolves.

In a near sweep of the defending champions, Elevate eliminated Wolves 3-1 to move on to the semifinals against Brazil's top team Galorys, with the Filipinos completing yet another 3-0 sweep to book their ticket to the grand finals.

On the other side of the bracket, an all-Chinese team semis saw Qing Jiu Club survive the best-of-five series against XROCK, 3-2, to set up a rematch with the all Filipino squad, which defeated them last September at the CODM Summer Invitational.

With redemption on their minds from missing out on the world stage last year, Elevate wasted no time in repeating their victory over Qing Jiu Club, sweeping the Chinese team, 4-0, to complete their 2024 season with the world championship win.

The team took home the lion's share of the $400,000 (approximately Php22 million) prize pool and has solidified its status as one top squads in CODM esports.
