Guard robs massage parlor, gropes therapist

MANILA, Philippines — A security guard was arrested after he allegedly robbed a massage parlor and groped one of the therapists in Quezon City on Tuesday.

Christian Cruz, 42, who works as a security guard in a mall, went to the massage parlor along Gregorio Araneta Avenue in Barangay Doña Imelda at around 12:40 a.m. and posed as a customer.

According to police investigators, Cruz pulled out a kitchen knife and declared a heist. He then went to the establishment’s cash dispenser and took P3,000 in cash.

The suspect also touched the chest of one of the therapists before he fled from the scene.

Employees of the spa reported the incident to the Galas police station 11 at around 8:30 a.m.

Lawmen conducted a follow-up operation that led to Cruz’s arrest at the mall where he works at the corner of Magsaysay Boulevard and Gregorio Araneta Avenue.

Police are preparing charges of robbery-holdup and acts of lasciviousness against the suspect.
