Hearing set for Central Luzon workers’ wage hike
SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Central Luzon will hold a public hearing on the proposed salary increase for minimum wage earners in the region.
The hearing will be conducted on Sept. 16 at the Heroes Hall Mini Convention Center on Lazatin Boulevard in Barangay San Juan in this city.
Stakeholders from seven provinces comprising the region are invited to participate in the hearing.
Kenneth Liza, wage board officer-in-charge and board secretary, urged all stakeholders to attend the event.
“We urge all interested parties to attend as their insights (on the issue) are crucial to the board’s wage deliberations. This public hearing offers an opportunity for both employees and employers to express their concerns. Shared inputs will be thoroughly reviewed and considered,” Liza said.
He said the RTWPB is closely monitoring the existing socioeconomic conditions in the region, which affect both the needs of the employees and their families, and the employers’ capacity to pay.
Interested parties have been advised to coordinate with the RTWPB-Central Luzon secretariat to ensure a smooth and orderly process of registration.
For more details, interested parties may contact the RTWPB-Central Luzon at 0918-253-7930 and (045) 649-1048, or email [email protected] or [email protected].
