JPMorgan puts premium on pro-family incentives

JPMorgan Chase and Co. continues to create an environment where employees are equipped with the necessary tools to become better not only in their work but also as better providers for their families through the company’s comprehensive and industry-leading pro-family benefits.

“Our innovation transcends beyond banking and finance, beyond the various communities through our philanthropic investments, and extends to crafting a thriving ecosystem for our employees. We’ve successfully brought the best global HR practices to the Philippines, tailored to the local landscape,” said JP Morgan Chase Philippines human resources head Brian D. Hood.

The company goes beyond offering global career opportunities as it embraces a culture that champions diversity and inclusion.

At JP Morgan Chase, same sex partners get the same suite of benefits as traditional partners. The “enhanced paid parental leave” gives non-primary caregivers, both probationary and regular employee caregivers, the option for 112 calendar days of paid leave. This can availed of continuously or staggered within 12 months from the child’s birth, allowing caregivers the flexibility of parenting while working.

The company is also offering extension of regular maternity leave to probationary employees, granting them access to 112 calendar days of paid leave. Moreover, “adoption leave” is extended to both probationary and regular employees, providing 112 calendar days of paid leave within 12 months from when the child is taken into custody.

Tenured and eligible employees at JPMorgan Chase are given the privilege of as much as 6 months of sabbatical leave to sort out personal matters. For those whose immediate family members have passed away, the company goes beyond by extending bereavement leave to 20 days.

As an equal opportunity employer, the firm welcomes individuals with disabilities and neurological differences in the same manner that it also gives a second chance to “returning professionals” who temporarily put their careers on pause to focus on their families.
