Meralco assures customers it will be on full alert during Undas
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 31) —The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) assured its customers on Tuesday that it will remain on full alert to attend to any power disruption during the observance of All Saint's Day and All Souls Day.
Although its business center will be closed on Nov. 1 and 2 as both days have been declared as special non-working holidays. Meralco said its personnel and systems were already in place to respond any time to any electric related concerns on Undas.
“We would like to assure our customers that Meralco personnel will continue to be on standby 24/7 to respond to any troubles and concerns related to our facilities,” Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga said in a statement.
The company also urged its customers to practice electrical safety and energy efficiency measures.
Some of the measures include not plugging extension cords into a single power outlet, not placing cords under rugs, and turning off appliances when not in use.
