NNIC boosts Wi-Fi speed at NAIA terminals

MANILA, Philippines —  The new operator of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport has installed a more reliable and faster internet connectivity at the NAIA.

Arriving and departing passengers can now enjoy faster and free Wi-Fi at the airport after the upgrades with an average speed of 50-60 Mbps, with peak speeds reaching 115 Mbps, the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) said.

An average of 1,000 users per hour connect to the “NewNAIA” Wi-Fi network across all terminals, according to NNIC.

Passengers can enjoy up to three hours of free internet access, up from the previous two-hour limit.

NNIC also eliminated the need to provide personal information.

To ensure better and more reliable coverage, NNIC said it partnered with PLDT/Smart and Converge as Wi-Fi providers.

“For air travelers, fast and reliable internet connectivity is a must,” NNIC said.

“Whether it’s for completing online travel requirements, accessing information, staying connected with loved ones or simply browsing social media, good internet access is essential at any modern international airport,” NNIC added.

These improvements are part of NNIC’s ongoing efforts to enhance the passenger experience at the country’s main gateway.
