OVP Stories from the Ground: A wheelchair for Wyeth

Driven by passion and dedication, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) CARAGA Satellite Office received Maria Mitzi Astronomo, a loving aunt to her niece, Wyeth Siugoma Mil Amoguis.

Diagnosed with PTB Lung + Spine: TB Whale Spinal Cord and grappling with mobility impairment for the past 11 years, Wyeth's parents had shouldered the responsibility of literally carrying her around at all times.

The gravity of Wyeth's situation prompted Maria to make a journey from Mangagoy, Bislig City, to the CARAGA Satellite Office in Tandag. It was here that the OVP stepped in, offering a wheelchair for Wyeth's improved mobility.
