PAO cited for accurate financial report

THE Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines Inc. (AGAP) has cited the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) as Outstanding Accounting Office for its accurate 2023 financial reports.

«This is in recognition of the quality, timeliness and accuracy of your FY (fiscal year) 2023 financial reports,» read the letter to PAO chief Persida Rueda-Acosta signed by AGAP President Ester Aldana.

Acosta said she and the entire PAO were honored by the recognition.

«We are honored and inspired to continue with honesty and integrity in disbursing government funds for the sake of the Filipino people,» she said.

«We make sure here at PAO that every cent that comes from the taxes must go back to the people. Everyone must enjoy the benefit and services they need so that we can have a better society and a better country that we can be proud of all over the world,» Acosta added.

AGAP will formally hand over the award to Acosta during its Cebu City convention on October 9 to 12.
