‘Philippines’ energy is wonderful!’: Lee Min Ho admits feeling lazy, Googling self often

MANILA, Philippines — South Korean superstar Lee Min Ho professed to feeling lazy at his fan meet organized by property developer SMDC last Sunday in SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Sunday is his favorite day of the week.

As he said: “Sunday is good because you can be lazy (on a Sunday).”

“Even before I came here, I’ve been feeling lazy,” he professed via an interpreter.

He was able to muster energy, nevertheless, thanks to his Filipino fans whom he hadn't seen for seven years since his last visit.

“I think the energy of the Philippines is wonderful!” Min ho said.

During the “Never have I ever” segment with host Sam Oh, Min ho admitted that he also always “Googles” himself.

When asked if he Googled himself before he literally entered the venue of the fan meet, he said: “Yes.”

When asked if he does it often, he said: “Yes, I search myself frequently.”

“I actually do it as a routine daily,” he straightforwardly suggested.

When asked if he likes what he sees about him on Google, he said: “I guess I just search to see if there’s another news article about me, or just a mention about me from different communities online.”

Min Ho rose to fame in the Philippines as the lead protagonist Gu Jun-Pyo in “Boys Over Flowers,” South Korea’s version of Taiwanese hit drama series, “Meteor Garden.” He went on to star in other blockbuster “Koreanovelas” in the Philippines such as “City Hunter,” “The Heirs,” “The Legend of the Blue Sea,” and “The King: Eternal Monarch.”

At the Manila fan meet, he also revealed that he is working on a space-themed K-drama. — Videos by Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo
