Pinky Webb joins Korina Sanchez in Bilyonaryo's primetime newscast
MANILA, Philippines — Broadcast journalist Pinky Webb will join Korina Sanchez in Bilyonaryo News Channel’s “Agenda Setters.”
The news channel is set to make its major television debut this Monday, September 9.
Award-winning journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas, whose last newscast was almost a decade ago, was earlier announced to return to news anchoring. Sanchez-Roxas has been a name and face that have been synonymous with Philippine media for almost five decades anchoring major news programs and lifestyle shows.
“Agenda Setters” presents a straightforward style of questioning stakeholders on issues affecting the nation as the main agenda of the program.
Webb has over three decades of experience in the industry anchoring various programs for major news channels. Her gentle demeanor on the outside balances her relentless style of journalism.
Jam Alindogan, international correspondent and co-founder of aid organization Sinagtala, also joins Bilyonaryo's news desk. She will be the channel’s Foreign Affairs Editor responsible for weekly special reports on pressing concerns across the globe.
Another veteran lending insight into regular news presenting is journalist Nancy Carvajal, who will be with the “Agenda Setters” twice a week to file special reports.
“Agenda Setters” joins the daily primetime newscast from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is Bilyonaryo News Channel’s main platform to push back against the propaganda of those in power and the proliferation of fake news.
The show identifies the biggest issue of the day that has the greatest impact on the nation and the lives of the citizens, and tackles all angles and aspects through in-depth reporting and no-nonsense, hard-hitting interviews with principals and major stakeholders.
The Bilyonaryo News Channel is available over free-to-watch television channel BEAM TV 31 (through digital TV boxes in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Baguio, Zamboanga, and Naga), and leading cable TV provider, Cignal Channel 24.
