Pulpogan clinches SK title in 14th Alegado Cup | The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Pulpogan banked on a explosive fourth-quarter show to sweep Cabangahan in their best-of-three finals with a 68-62 win in Game 2 and clinch the championship title in SK division of the 14th Mayor Teresa Nene P. Alegado Cup Fiesta Basketball League in Consolacion, Cebu.

CJ Mission paced Pulpogan with 18 points. He got huge support from Jovel Quinto and Patrick Damayo who combined for 27 points.

Pulpogan trailed for most of the way and was still down by eight points, 47-55, going into the final period but launched a devastating 21-7 counterattack at the endgame to knock out Cabangahan.

Pulpogan is under the guidance of head coach Ronald Somosot assisted by Rexon Moneva and Paulo Dalumpines, currently the team captain of Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges (CRMC) Mustangs in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI).

Adrian Panangin finished with 13 points while John Kevin Garcia and Marvin Devilla tallied 10 markers each but their efforts went down the drain for Cabangahan.
