Senate urged to act on rightsizing bill

CAMARINES Sur 2nd District Rep. Luis Raymund «LRay» Villafuerte Jr. called on senators to act on their counterpart measure to the House of Representatives's bill on government rightsizing when session resumes on Jan. 22, 2024.

«The Philippines has about 1.7 million workers — according to the 2022 data of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) — who are spread across 187 government agencies, and government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs) that have functions that either overlap or are redundant,» Villafuerte said.
