Benguet farmers’ orgs receive P3.8 million farm machines, supplies from DAR
A total of 7,767 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and farmer-members of eight (8) Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) in Benguet received agricultural farm machineries and equipment (FME) and farm inputs support (FIS) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) worth P3.8 million to improve their farm production and profitability in the area.Lailani A. Cortez, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II highlighted that the DAR’s support extends beyond providing land titles but also includes providing various services to empower ARBs with the tools and knowledge needed for sustainable agriculture and better livelihood.She said the DAR’s initiative aims to enhance the ARBs’ farming practices and entrepreneurial success after they receive their land ownership certificates. She said that this will extend support beyond land allocation to include crucial training and resources, showcasing DAR’s dedication to the sustainable progress and prosperity of the community.“This is the fruit of hard work, patience, and perseverance. Congratulations to all the recipients of this project and for the DAR Benguet,” Cortez said.

As part of the Support Services Office's initiative to strengthen and raise the Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) throughout the country, Caraga field implementers are steadily on its way to accomplishing such as it successfully conducted a 3-day training-workshop on ARC and ARC Cluster (ARCC) Development Plan preparation which ran from February 27-29, 2024 at VCDU Hotel, Butuan City. OIC-Assistant Regional Director Joie L. Ceballos welcomed the participants by imparting the significance of this activity as it will enable and further uplift the economic standing of the farmer beneficiaries, and all other farmers concerned, situated within the ARC by ensuring all the necessary support services will be properly identified and timely delivered.
