'Stay healthy, safe while in long break'

SEN. Christopher «Bong» Go urged Filipinos to prioritize their health and safety as they travel to and from the provinces during the long break.

«As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, I am reminding everyone to take care of their health while they're with their families. I am also appealing to our law enforcers to ensure the safety of every Filipino, especially in churches, cemeteries, terminals and in other crowded places,» he said in Filipino.

He said that government action alone is not enough and that the cooperation of the public is equally important.

«Government can lay down the rules, but responsible compliance starts with each of us. I am calling on everyone: let's make health and safety our personal responsibility,» the senator said.

He further highlighted the collective role Filipinos play in safeguarding public health.

«We are a community, and each of us has a part to play. Your actions affect not just you, but also those around you,» Go stated.
