Supreme Court records leaked online

(UPDATES) AROUND 13,000 documents of the Supreme Court were leaked online by someone identified as «grep,» Deep Web Konek, a cybersecurity organization, said on Wednesday.

«This leak has brought to light the vulnerability of government systems, particularly in handling and securing legal information,» it said.

The security breach has compromised 13,564 rows of data, including a broad range of legal proceedings and applications, assessment numbers, full names of individuals involved in cases, and payment details.

«The exposed data paints a detailed picture of various legal proceedings, with information ranging from case details to payment statuses, highlighting the severity of the breach,» Deep Web Konek said.

Supreme Court spokesman Camille Ting said the Court's Management Information Systems Office (MISO) was validating the incident.

«We learned of the social media post about the alleged data breach, and our MISO is currently validating it,» she said.

«All processes of the Court, including the bar exams, are secured,» Ting added.
