Tech problems detected on Viber video, file transfers
THE Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) said it has detected technical problems on Viber.
In a statement released through the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the CICC said it detected «continuous failed attempts to send video and file transfers using the Viber system in multiple cities covered by the CAMS [Consumer Application Monitoring Systems] platform both domestically and internationally since 10 a.m. [on Tuesday] while Messaging and voice calls have been successful though the Viber platform.»
The CAMS platform, according to the CICC, is used to identify application performances, including that of Viber.
CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos said the use of the CAMS platform by the CICC is effective, after using it to check the problems on the Viber app.
«CAMS is working well in detecting problems and in protecting consumers from cybercriminals,» he said in a statement.
