Yulo, Villegas as flag-bearers

PARIS – Gymnast Carlos Yulo and boxer Aira Villegas, two bets combining for two golds and one bronze, will be the final act for the Philippines in the 2024 Olympics, carrying the national colors in the closing ceremonies Sunday night at Stade de France.

Yulo and Villegas will be the Philippines’ answer to the US’ Katie Ledecky and Nick Mead for the ceremonies featuring the traditional highlights, including the athletes’ parade and the handover of the Olympic flag to the organizers of the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
