1,100 pass mechanical engineers' exam

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday night announced the results of the August 2024 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Exam (MELE) results, which took place from August 16 to 18.

Out of 3,485 examinees, 1,144 or 32.83 percent, passed the exam.

The top 10 examinees are:

  1. John Philip Minancillo — University of Cebu (90.60 percent)
  2. Carl Geoffrey Del Mundo Sanchez — Batangas State University-Alangilan (90.20 percent)
  3. Jerson Daliva Amongo — Capiz State University-Main Campus (89.25 percent)
  4. Arvin Lemuel Cantos Freo — Batangas State University-Alangilan (89.10 percent)
  5. Darius Angelo Ascaño Libao — Batangas State University-Alangilan (88.95 percent)
  6. Lloyd Adrian Anacin Dumanayos — Mapúa University-Manila (88.75 percent)
  7. Sofia Clarin Hernandez — Batangas State University-Alangilan (88.20 percent)
  8. Godwyn Yobl Napoles Calangi — De La Salle University-Manila (86.85 percent)
  9. Christian James Tangan Casiño — Xavier University (86.65 percent)
  10. Paul Bryan Martinez Elefante — De La Salle University-Manila (85.80 percent)

This edition of the MELE was taken in testing centers across the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

Online registration for the new Mechanical Engineers' Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will start on September 18.
