2 fuel firms hike cooking gas prices

MANILA, Philippines — Fuel firms Petron Corp. and Solane increased the prices of their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) effective yesterday.

In an advisory, Petron announced that it would impose an increase of P0.95 for every kilo of its cooking gas.

Solane said it would increase its LPG price by P0.91 per kilo inclusive of value-added tax.

“The price adjustments reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of February,” Petron said.

On Jan. 1, prices of cooking gas increased by P3.40 and P3.45 per kilo for Petron and Solane, respectively.

Earlier, Petron increased its pump prices by P2.80 per liter for gasoline, P1.30 for diesel and P0.45 for kerosene.

The adjustment took effect on Tuesday.
