Heart Evangelista shares Chiz Escudero’s reaction over ‘hubadera’ posts, underwear endorsement

MANILA, Philippines —  Actress Heart Evangelista clarified that her husband, Senate president Francis “Chiz” Escudero, does not only know about her sexy social media posts; he is even “proud” of everything she does.

Answering a query from Philstar.com following her recent launch as new endorser of the intimate label of international brand Avon, Heart shared Chiz’s reaction to her “hubadera” or dressing up videos posted on her social media.

Heart told Philstar.com that she asked what Chiz thought about her social media posts, and her endorsement of an underwear brand, and she said that Chiz was “super proud.”

“I asked him about it and he said, ‘Go, go for it! Now’s the time.’ And I feel like perfect timing din s’ya para sa’kin,” she shared.

She felt it was never too late to flaunt her curves in an underwear commercial. She said, she might be unable to pull it off had she has done it in her 20s.

“I really feel proud to be where I am today. That wouldn’t happen if I didn’t go through life. It’s perfect timing,” she affirmed.

According to her, maturity and coming of age give her the confidence to show off a bit of skin on social media.

“Siguro, I don’t know, it’s all about experience in life. When I was younger, I wasn’t really as forgiving of myself. I was very hard on myself,” she declared.

“As you get older, you sort of have self-worth, you love yourself more, so mas tumitibay ang self-confidence mo.”

When Philstar.com asked if she is willing to accept daring roles on TV and movie next, she said: “It depends. If for myself as a person, I am willing, I am confident about myself. But siguro it depends with the script.”

“Kung hindi s’ya smart and what a joy to do, at kung ikakatanda ko, ‘wag na lang!” she quipped.

More than just showing skin, Heart said her aim for showing her videos is to empower other women and send a strong message for body positivity.

“I am very petite in the world of fashion,” she professed, “We all have different cuts. I feel like it’s just embracing our imperfections and being comfortable with that and once you do that, that’s what makes you shine.” — Video by Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo, video editing by Martin Ramos
