3 die in Ilocos Sur vehicular mishap

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union, Philippines — Three people died while another was injured when a van rammed two motorcycles in San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur on Sunday night.

Gian Marco Domingo, MJ Tamayo and Rodel Palacpac were declared dead on arrival in a hospital, where Andrei Fermato was also rushed for treatment.

Domingo and Tamayo were motorcycle drivers while Palacpac and Fermato were their backriders.

The victims were on their way home when a Hyundai Starex Van, driven by Dionisio Maristela, hit them in Barangay Gongogong.

Maristela reportedly lost control of the wheel. He was taken to the police station for questioning.
