3 weather systems affecting PH
THREE weather systems — the northeast monsoon or «amihan», easterlies and localized thunderstorms — will affect the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday.
Weather specialist Grace Castaneda said the northeast monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon while easterlies are affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. advisory that Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have overcast skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated downpours or thunderstorms.
