546 ARBS receive their CLOA titles from DAR Region II

Agrarian Secretary Bernie F. Cruz led the ceremonial turnover of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to a total of 546 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Cagayan that covered a total of 560.1862 hectares of land in the province held at the Multi- Purpose Gymnasium, Lallo, Cagayan.

Out of the 546 beneficiaries, 333 are recipients of Government Owned Lands (GOL) located in the municipality of Lal-lo, Cagayan with a total area of 404.7082 hectares. This was made possible by virtue of Executive Order (EO) no. 75 s, 2019.

EO 75 was signed under the administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte whose mandate is to identify and distribute Government- Owned Lands (GOL) suited for agriculture to qualified beneficiaries.

Included as beneficiaries of the GOL are the thirty (30) Agriculture Graduates from the Cagayan State University. They were awarded one (1) hectare each from the government for free under AO 3, Series of 2020 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Also, thirty-five (35) ARBS are recipients of forty-six (46) C-Titles under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project of DAR covering an area of 23.000 has. in Baggao, Cagayan while, one hundred seventy-eight (178) ARBS are recipients of 227 CLOAS under the regular Land Acquisition and Distribution (LAD) scheme of DAR covering 132.4780 has. in Solana, Cagayan.

In his message, Secretary Bernie F. Cruz told farmers to treasure the land granted to them, as well as to perform the duties mandated under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law or the RA 6657.

Cagayan Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Val M. Cristobal expressed appreciation to all the guests who graced the occasion which included Vice Mayor of Lallo Olive Pascual, Sangguniang Bayan ng Lallo Jun Israel, PENRO of Cagayan - Eliseo Mabasa, CEO of CSU Piat - Dr. Florante Victor M. Balatico, DAR Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero, Asst. Director Alfredo Lorenzo, USEC FMAO Atty. Jun Malsi, USEC PPRO Atty. David Erro, and ASEC FOO Engr. Joey Sumatra.

CEO Balatico of CSU and PENRO Mabasa expressed their full support to all DAR programs and projects.
