BI gears up for more modernization projects

THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) is gearing up for more modernization projects to make international travel smooth and seamless amid an expected surge in tourist arrivals.

«We are expecting the number of tourists to rise as the Department of Tourism puts up an aggressive campaign. Hence, we need to implement more projects to make our processes and operations faster in accordance with international practices,» Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said on Monday.
