Boom Esports rules Honor of Kings Philippine qualifiers

MANILA, Philippines – Boom Esports ran a perfect campaign in the Philippine qualifiers of the Honor of Kings Championship 2024, sweeping Blacklist International, 3-0, in the grand finals last Sunday, September 9.

In the local qualifier titled "Road to KC 2024 - Philippines", 12 Filipino teams competed against each other for two spots in the Honor of Kings global championship and the title of best Honor of Kings team in the country.

Having had a perfect 5-0 run in the group stages, Boom Esports continued its streak in the playoffs, besting Execration, 2-0, in the upper bracket semifinals. Blacklist International was the first team to take a game from Boom Esports during the upper bracket finals, but the latter eventually took the series, 3-1.

Blacklist International managed to set a rematch after sweeping Execration, 2-0, in the lower bracket finals. But Boom Esports once again dominated the series, 3-0, to end the qualifiers as the top Honor of Kings team in the Philippines.

Both Blacklist International and Boom Esports qualify to the Honor of Kings Championship 2024, the first global championship of the esports title, which will take place in Indonesia in October.
