Bretman Rock subtly calls out Benny Blanco's negative Jollibee review

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-American content creator and model Bretman Rock subtly clapped back at American record producer Benny Blanco by posting a Jollibee-related video of his own, minus the negativity.

Bretman earlier this week uploaded on his TikTok account a video of him eating leftover Jollibee chicken.

With white noise making up most the background, Bretman's crunchy chewing of the chicken can be distinctly heard, amplified further by the post's caption that went "Notice how it's still crispy….."

Earlier this month, Benny made a review video trying out different Filipino food — his stepmother is from the Philippines — including Jollibee.

Notice how its still crispy…..

In the video, the record producer called Adobo Rice "dry-ass," the fries "limpdick ass," dipped chicken in gravy claiming it was "soggy as f***" and even tried to dip it in pineapple juice, and spat out Filipino spaghetti back into its container.

Following backlash over his reaction, the boyfriend of singer Selena Gomez made another video trying out Filipino food with more favorable thoughts.

Last week, Bretman was honored by the Hawaii House of Representatives for his impact on Hawaii residents and Filipino-Americans.

State representative Darius Kila, in recognizing Bretman, said the content creator "touched the lives of countless individuals across Hawaii and beyond, inspiring us all to embrace our uniqueness, and celebrate our individuality."
