BSKE 2023 frontliners ink peace covenant during Nationwide Peace Assembly

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City – Frontliners and key stakeholders involved in the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Bayan Elections 2023 gathered at the Nationwide Peace Assembly coinciding with the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at PRO4A Kiosk, this camp.

Hosted by PRO CALABARZON Regional Director Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, the event brought together a diverse array of representatives to encourage responsible conduct and harmonious coexistence during the electoral process.

The event was highlighted with the Peace Covenant Signing, where all participants affixed their signatures, demonstrating their commitment to upholding peaceful conduct throughout the Barangay and Sangguniang Bayan Elections 2023.

This symbolic gesture underscored the collective dedication to fair, transparent, and peaceful democratic processes at the grassroots level.

COMELEC 4A Regional Election Officer, Atty. Monalisa Mamukid said it is crucial to remember the significance of peace where the presence of justice, harmony, and understanding is present.

“Let us use this gathering to reaffirm our commitment to peaceful and fair elections. The success of the BSKE 2023 depends on our collective effort into preserving the sanctity of these elections and our dedication towards a better future,” she added.

Also during the event, PRO4A personnel were given awards for their significant accomplishments in the field of police operations and administration.

The event was attended by prominent personalities from the Police Regional Office CALABARZON, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), faith-based groups, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

The Nationwide Multi-Sectoral Peace Assembly for Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections 2023 reaffirmed the significance of multi-sectoral collaboration in creating an environment conducive to fair and peaceful elections.
