Celebrities stranded in Sorsogon come home

MANILA, Philippines — Even some local celebrities have experienced the wrath of Severe Tropical Storm «Kristine.»

OPM band Parokya ni Edgar (PNE) was stranded in Sorsogon for four days after the cancellation of their flights. The band performed for the Kasanggayahan Festival on October 21 but did not get the chance to come home before the typhoon hit.

On their latest Facebook post, the band said it was able to finally get a flight but which was diverted to Kalibo, Aklan.

«Di kami naka-land sa Manila. After several attempts na mag-land, the Captain announced na hindi talaga safe, and that we needed to land sa Kalibo, instead.Oks na din yun...basta safe (We couldn't land in Manila. After several attempts to land, the captain announced that it really wasn't safe and that we needed to land in Kalibo instead. That's fine...as long as we're safe),» the band wrote on its official Facebook page.

PNE added that the mood was light and everyone was in high spirits inside their flight amid the diversion

«Thank You, Lord, for keeping us safe,» the band added.

Meanwhile, actor Dominic Roque was also stranded in Sorsogon where he and other motorcycle friends scheduled a ride.

Roque has been updating his followers on his Instagram account @dominicroque. As of Friday noon, the actor shared that they were finally able to ride a ferry out of Sorsogon.
